We moved to our new home in Northgate in March of 1997. The first thing we did was have a housewarming party. It was actually a "garden party". We invited everyone to wear their grubbies and bring tools and a plant for our new garden. The results have been SPECTACULAR!! We call it the Friendship Garden. Everyday we go out and are reminded of our friends. Ken and Gay's Faux Bamboo. John's Rhodie. Larry and Karen's Mini Rhodie and Azalea. Phil and Kathleen's Tea Rose. You get the picture. We have some before and after shots for you. In 1998, we added a greenhouse. Not your ordinary run of the mill greenhouse. In 1999, we added the arbor and in 2000, we improved on the arbor. Hosta ~ This is one of two Hostas. To the left of the Hosta is a beautiful white Bleeding Heart plant and to the left of that is a Helebore. All were gifts from Bill and Nancy
This Rhodie is in the front of the house and it was here when we moved in. It is spectacular to open the front door and be assaulted by the intense pink flowers
The tulips are part of a new trend of "Giant Flowers" that we started. These tulips were from 24" to 30" tall and just spectacular. The azalea came from Karen and Larry. This bed is directly in front of the wall pictured on the next page. Another giant flower collection we are working on is Dahlias. We will feature these in our Zing album as soon as we get some pictures taken.
